This means that you can now book an appointment in a local practice up until 20:00 from Monday to Friday, on a Saturday and from 09:00 until 13:00 on Sunday at one of the three FedBucks Improved Access Hubs located across the county.

Patients registered with any GP Surgery within Amersham, Chesham and Little Chalfont will be able to access this service via the participating surgeries in their area.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as your problem could may be suitable to be dealt with by telephone, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, community service or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

Cancel an Appointment

If you cannot keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible & we will rebook accordingly. If you arrive late you may be asked to rebook.

Patients will be asked to leave our list after 3 missed appointments, as it is considered an abuse of the system, wasting doctors and nurses valuable time, and it denies other needy patients that appointment.

GP Training Practice

We are proud to be a well-established training practice, helping qualified doctors, known as registrars, complete the final stages of their GP Training before they embark on fully independent practice.

We believe that achieving and maintaining training practice status enhances the quality of the medical care that we provide at the practice. It also enables patients to see a wider range of clinicians whilst allowing the surgery to benefit from the fresh ideas and approaches brought by young enthusiastic doctors. You can of course still elect to see your chosen regular doctor but sometimes this may require you to plan your appointment.

On occasion, you may be invited to give your consent for the GP Registrar to video the consultation. This is a valuable tool helping the doctor to improve his/her consulting skills. The tapes once viewed by the trainer will be deleted.

We have been a training practice for many years and the feedback from patients regarding our registrars has been overwhelmingly positive. The doctors tend to be in the surgery for between 6 and 18 months, becoming an integral part of the practice team and an invaluable resource for patients.
